Contracting

BRAZIL: Petrobras received bids on August 23 for the deepwater portion of the Sul-Norte Capixaba gas pipeline, which is to connect the Camarupim field to the Parque das Baleias area.  The known bidders are Helix, Saipem, Subsea 7, and a Technip/Allseas consortium. This deepwater section is 12.4 miles (20km) in length and 12 inches in diameter. Within this package are the lines that will serve Roncador's P-62 FPSO. Earlier this month, Petrobras received the bids for the shallow water section of the gas line. Five companies submitted proposals – Helix, Acergy, Global, McDermott and the Technip/Allseas consortium. The shallow water portion totals 93.2 miles (150km) in length and is an 18-inch concrete weight coated pipeline.
