Global Industries this month is beginning mobilization for the installation of an offshore stretch of pipeline for the Ubarana-Guamaré Gasoline Unit (UGG-RN) hookup between Minhoto beach and the PUB-3 platform. The service was auctioned for US$ 154 million and includes engineering, assembly, logistics and pre-commissioning of the pipes.
The contract calls for the laying of a 20” diameter clear product pipeline and a 12” diameter aqueduct, running for 19 km, as well as a 5-km, 12” casing for electric cables. The deadline for the work is nine months. The pipeline will connect the platform to the Clara Camarão Refinery making use of an already installed onshore system.
